To answer your question, no. Two squares touch the numbers in the corners, 3 squares touch all the other numbers on the outside, 4 squares touch all inside numbers

If the touch prize is $ 300
Inside numbers get $ 75 each
Corners get $ 150 each
Outside gets $ 100 each

So while you may have fewer chances to win, you would win more money. Statistically, they're all equal.
